How to make a 1.5% TSA broth plates

To make a 1.5% TSA plate, obtain a 1-liter bottle to add the ingredients in. Then used a scale to measure 15g of TSA powder onto a clear plastic disposable container and pour the powder into the 1-liter bottle. Then measure 7.5g of the agar powder in a separate clear plastic container and pour it into the bottle as well. Now, to dissolve these powder, add 500mL of purified water into the bottle and place the bottle cap on it; not too tight. Then placed the bottle on a stir plate with a stir bar inside. After the powder dissolved in the water; about 15mins, it should be a goldish liquid with no powder residues. The bottle should then be placed in the autoclave without the stir bar at for about an hour and a half. After autoclaving the bottle, let it cool for a little before pouring plates and remember to wear thermal gloves.
